New Matrimonial Website for Pets Developed by Veterinary University in Kerala

The world of online dating and matchmaking has taken a new turn with the launch of Vetigo, a matrimonial website for pets! Yes, you read that right – this innovative platform aims to find suitable partners or mates for the breeding of pet dogs.

Developed as a part of the Student Innovative Project of the Veterinary University in Thrissur, Kerala, Vetigo is the brainchild of Abin Joy, a BVSc student at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The project received initial funding of Rs 1.5 lakh and is supported by the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council.

The website allows pet owners to create profiles for their furry friends, including details like breed, sex, age, weight, vaccination information, and even the Kennel Club of India number. The platform is currently open for dog registrations, with plans to expand to include cats in the future.

In addition to matchmaking, Vetigo also plans to offer online veterinary consultation services for pet owners. So far, around 50 pet registrations have been made, with more expected as the platform gains publicity. Best of all, the service is currently free for users.
