States with the Most Spoiled Dogs: A Forbes Advisor Analysis

Florida has been named the state with the most spoiled dogs, according to a recent Forbes Advisor survey. Dog owners in Florida are more likely to spend money on their dog’s health and grooming than on themselves, with 66.5% of respondents admitting to this practice. Additionally, Florida dog owners are known for ordering special treats for their dogs at restaurants, throwing doggy birthday parties, and even putting perfume or cologne on their furry friends.

Following closely behind Florida is Alaska, where nearly half of dog owners regularly throw birthday parties for their pets. Washington, Colorado, and California round out the top five states with the most spoiled dogs, with Washington dog owners being the most likely to bring their dogs on vacation.

The survey also revealed the top ways that dog owners spoil their pets, including buying outfits and accessories, preparing homemade dog food or treats, and ordering special treats at restaurants. During the holiday season, many dog owners also buy Christmas gifts for their pets, with more than one in five dog owners admitting to spending more money on their dog’s gifts than on gifts for their friends and family.

As the trend of pampering pets continues to grow, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular among dog owners. Pet insurance can help offset the costs of routine care, vet visits, and unexpected medical expenses, giving dog owners peace of mind that their furry companions will receive the care they need. By comparing pet insurance quotes, dog owners can find the best coverage for their beloved pets.
