BENTONVILLE, Ark., May 22, 2024 — In celebration of National Pet Month, Walmart+ has announced a new partnership with Pawp to introduce a telehealth benefit for its pet-owning members. Starting later this year, Walmart+ members will have 24/7 virtual access to Pawp’s team of veterinary professionals, providing convenient and cost-effective pet health services.
The collaboration between Walmart+ and Pawp comes as traditional veterinary costs are on the rise and access to care has become more challenging. Walmart+ initially piloted Pawp as a limited-time offer last year, which proved to be highly popular among its members, with a high redemption rate and becoming the most successful limited-time offer of 2023.
Venessa Yates, senior vice president and general manager of Walmart+, expressed the company’s commitment to providing valuable benefits to its members. Pawp is a leading digital health clinic and telehealth platform for pet owners, offering expert support and guidance from veterinary professionals.
