A Bernese mountain dog named Beau made waves on TikTok after hilariously protesting the end of a hike with her owner, Tyla. The one-year-old pup, known for her love of outdoor adventures, was not ready to call it quits when she realized the trek was coming to an end.

In a TikTok video posted on February 27, Beau can be seen sitting stubbornly on the trail, refusing to move any closer to the car. Tyla explained that they had been hiking on Mount Fromme, and despite Beau’s recent recovery from spay surgery, she was eager to keep exploring.

As Tyla attempted to coax Beau back to the car, the determined dog remained planted on the ground, making it clear that the hike was not over until she said so. “She protests like this a lot, mainly on the sidewalk if I turn in a direction she doesn’t want to go,” Tyla shared. “It’s very common for the breed. They’re notoriously stubborn, but I secretly love it.”

While Tyla usually resorts to treats to motivate Beau, she has learned to appreciate these moments of defiance and take them in stride. The TikTok video quickly gained traction, with viewers relating to the struggle of convincing a strong-willed dog to move.
